BAKEWELL WOOL GATHERING
Last year Skeins attended an event called BOB at Bakewell Agricultural Centre, which was a lovely event however the organiser has decided not to run the event this year so Skeins has taken! It will be held at the same venue but at a slightly later date of 19/20 October 2013. The main theme will be WOOL however we will consider applications from anyone who produces wool or textile related products i.e drop spindles, wool bowls (pottery). Further information can be found on the website www.Bakewellwool.co.uk.
There are already some well known names booked in. Tickets will be on sale later in the year via the website or can be purchased on the day.
Skeins would like to thank everyone for their support in 2012 and hopefully for their continued support in 2013.
POSTAGE
We are changing the postage charges from per item to per order – within the UK it will now cost £3.00, within Europe £4.00 and to the rest of the world – £6.00. This means that no matter what you order you know what the postage will be.
Since opening our doors in 2008, our aim has been to provide a large selection of wools and yarns for the discerning knitter and crocheter. Our selection includes Skeins own hand-dyed yarns, Sirdar, King Cole, Bergere de France and some Katia. We also stock Knit Pro and Brittany needles, as well as a range of other tools and books to assist you in your knitting adventures.
Based on Glossop High Street, in North Derbyshire, the studio is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 3pm. You are also welcome to call in Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm when the Knit’n'Natter group is on.
More information is available on the studio page, and you can find details about upcoming events in the studio too.
